James Joyce's Dubliners is the 2012 Dublin, One City One Book. I've always loved this book for the beautiful and brilliant picture Joyce paints of Dublin and Dubliners (of whom I am one). It's one of Joyces easier books to read and is a selection of short stories peeping into the lives of the ordinary Dubliner. Enjoy.
Now in its sixth year, Dublin: One City, One Book is a project designed to encourage everyone in the city to read the same book during the month of April each year. The project promotes reading in a city which boasts one of the world’s greatest literary heritages including four Nobel Laureates. Dublin is a UNESCO City of Literature.
There are lots of free events scheduled during April, Visit the Dublin One City One Book website for more information www.dublinonecityonebook.ie.
